Have a 12 year old Pekingese that acts like a 6 month old Springer Spaniel….or at the very least her floofy-boop is spring loaded. Well she ending up somehow injuring her spine. I imagine she did some amazing tumbles and cartwheels whilst boomeranging off the sofa; pro-tip that’s why her face is flat, just saying. Anyhow landed us in the Pig-on-knees ER! However the Vet, bless her heart, kept ratting off pharmaceuticals she wanted my dog to take. Don’t ya-know, this dog is allergic to darn near everything. Well ended up asking for alternative solutions to pain management, that gal had nothing. So went down to Dr. G-thumbs emporium of fine goods and picked this product up. WOW! It is expensive at that shop. So came home and looked the label up to find this website and the much better price-point. So that is bonus 1. Bonus 2, it works! So the Pekingese was looking at spinal surgery and living in pain the remainder of her days one two wheels with me having to muster up the courage to somehow hold her at the right angle after making thirty semi half circles pausing weirdly ever few seconds so to help her find the best spot for maximum hunker-down. All that whilst holding my breath. It wasn’t looking good. So as I gave her the first dose of this product, thinking this is a last ditch effort, I didn’t think she had much chance of being pain-free. An hour after giving her the dose she started wagging her tail. Her back feet started holding weight so she could go potty on her own. By the second dose she was walking with a slight gate stumble drunken-sailor slide. This reduced inflammation and her pain response. Happy to report it has been 9 weeks since her initial injury and she is back to her old-swishy-tail-floofy-boop-self. Her regular Vet does not think surgery will be needed as long as she keeps responding positively to this treatment. Please do keep in mind, this is not a substitute for a Vet and their expertise. This is a product that I use with my personal D.V.M. knowledge and agreement. I do recommend this if you have apprised your D.V.M. and they are fully aware of your intended dosing and reason. I would say if you have a small dog under 25 pounds, this 100mg strength is strong, think about the lower mg option. I did start with the 50mg strength then moved up to the 100mg. So instead of dosing every 4-6 hours at initial injury date to now once a day .75 mL. Highly recommend the lowest dose your pet needs, especially if you are trying this for nervous/ anxious behavioral issues, or for high anxiety responses to external stressors like fireworks. Bonus 3! Are we on3? Well whatever number, I can hide this in wet food, ground poultry or meat even cream cheese when I am feeling brave, and my gag response has been fully suppressed with my morning dose of CBD, at having to actually smoosh pills in the white coagulated moo-goo. Thankfully this pup has gleefully opted to get to the nitty-gritty and just take her happy juice with a syringe rubbed in some wet dog food. She no longer makes a face at the taste of this. That would be my only complaint: the flavor/palatability; maybe formulate it with bacon, cheese and/or peanut butter. Hope it works for your furry boomerang, squishy-face, love puff, floofy-boops with itty-bitty toe-beans crabby grabby…or whatever you call your dog or cat.
