From the Vendor: On some primitive islands in the south Pacific kava is still ground by hand using the age old method of kava stones. We honor this tradition by offering Stone Kava. This kava is made using only mature lateral roots from Vanuatu Borogu kava. In Fiji they call this kava waka. Its potency is high and we recommend that it not be drank everyday even though it is of a noble drinking kava variety.
This kava root is darker than the Black Sand kava because lateral roots have more bark on them than kava root chips. The color of the kava juice that is yielded from this root is subsequently dark in nature. The taste of kava tea made from this kava will be similar to the Black Sand Kava we sell only magnified. Very peppery. This kava is sure to make your mouth numb.
