Let me first begin this with: I am a 44 year old woman who has suffered from General Anxiety Disorder since I was a teenager and depression since I was 29. I didn’t get treatment nor medication for either until I was 32. I have been on Lexapro since, and added Wellbutrin to the Lexapro in December 2019. The Wellbutrin helped stop the suicidal ideation I had been experiencing for 10 years. The pandemic, however, brought about self-medicating (an increase in an already abusive relationship with alcohol, trying THC gummies to steer me away from alcohol, and taking 3-5 Valium pills a day). It got to the point where I needed all three to get through my day. A loss of my job did not help, either. And Easter, April 4, was my last bad days of alcohol.
I was lucky to have already purchased CBD capsules from the company, so therefore was sent the email, with the subject line “Your Mental Health Matters,” on March 26. I ordered them immediately. I received my drops on April 1, 2021. I began taking them on April 2. On the evening of April 14, I had a light-bulb moment about my life. Something changed in my body and mind, where I had the urge to let go of the pain in my life, and finally had the courage to do so. I found the words to explain what I wanted and the wisdom to discern between the things I needed to accept and the things I could actually change. I also realized that I wasn’t as sore the next day as I usually am. I am now on the third week after that lightbulb moment (five weeks after I began taking them) and just realized today that when I mess up a project or let someone down, my body doesn’t resort to its natural anxiety response; I see the problem and fix it, instead – no qualms. I also realized that in my workouts, my pace is more consistent than before and I haven’t needed to break as often in the middle of cardio workouts. I use both the day time and night time CBD oil. The day time version gives you a nice boost of energy without it being too harsh.
